Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, Mayor of Warsaw
Hana Gronkiewicz Waltz was born on 4 November 1952 in Warsaw, where she completed her primary, secondary and university education (Law, 1975 at the University of Warsaw). She has PhD degree in law since 1989 at the Faculty of Law in Warsaw.
From 30 March 1992 to 31 December 2000 has been president of the Polish National Bank, and from 2001-2005 she has been president of the tasks of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Since September 2005, she has been President of the State Treasury.
For the mayor of Warsaw she was elected on 26 November 2006. At the same position is selected twice, in November 2012 and November 2014.
