Siniša Mali, Mayor of Belgrade
Siniša Mali was born August 25, 1972 in Belgrade, where he finished elementary school and graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade. Master's degree in 1999 at Washington University, St. Louis, USA, Department of Finance. In 2013 defended his doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade.
In 2001 he was appointed as Assistant of Minister for Privatization in the Ministry of Economy and Privatization of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. At the end of 2001 start to work for the Privatization Agency, as the office director of the Center for tender privatization. In this position he remained until the end of 2003. In early 2004, he founded his own company, which is engaged in consulting in the field of buying and selling companies (mergers & acquisitions), financial restructuring, consolidation and business consulting companies to improve their financial performance.
Before the mayoral elections he held the position of President of the Provisional Authority of the city of Belgrade and as adviser first Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia on economic issues. For Belgrade mayor he was elected on 24 April 2014.
